Reunion Overview & Itinerary

Elliott Reunion 2025

The theme of this inaugural reunion is Sankofa: Reclaiming Our Shared Heritage and will be held on St. Kitts and Nevis on 25 July - 1 August 2025.

Sankofa is an African symbol meaning "Go Back and Get It." For the descendants of enslaved Africans in the Caribbean, Sankofa holds profound meaning. It is one of the four critical elements of our clan emblem and teaches that it is essential to reach back into our past to retrieve the lessons, wisdom, and strength that will guide us forward. It serves as a reminder that despite the brutalities of slavery and colonialism, our heritage, culture, and family bonds are vital to our identity and resilience.

For the Elliott Clan whose roots in St. Kitts and Nevis trace back generations, Sankofa is a call to reconnect with our rich history, culture, and values. Through this reunion, we are reminded that the struggles and triumphs of this family are part of the larger tapestry of African Caribbean history. Sankofa encourages us to proudly embrace our origins, not as a distant past but as a source of strength and unity that continues to shape our present and future. Sankofa empowers us to reclaim our narrative, strengthen our familial bonds, and ensure that the legacy of the Elliott family remains vibrant and enduring for generations to come. This is not just a reunion, but a reaffirmation of who we are, where we come from, and the values that will continue to guide us into the future.
